Well I am a few months in and a rock I assume jumped up from the finish mower and broke the back glass, not the big one that tilts out but the smaller one underneath it , I will try to get a pic this weekend, basically question is, how do I remove the panel and replace the glass, the frame seems ok just shaddered the glass, I guess better than my head but still. Again back glass underneath the big rear window thanks all

I am not near mine to verify but it looked to me as if it was held in with butyl tape. Possibly 3/8" thick, same as what held windshields and back glass in some cars.

Take the panel to an auto glass shop and they will cut a piece of safety plate and install it. The next time a rock jumps up and breaks the glass it will just be cracked and you can live with it.

If it is like mine it is curved. I think oem might be the only option.

That window will be glued in with urethane.

Replace it with Plexiglas / Acrylic.

Yeah it’s brand new so plywood for me is out, not sure about the plexiglass, how would the frame pop out? Doesn’t look like any screws holding it in, I didn’t want to damage the frame and be out more cash haha

According to Messick’s website, the glass is $127.86 plus the adhesive you will need. You can buy adhesive at any auto parts stores.

There are no screws or removable frame. It is glued directly to the cabin with a thick bead of urethane

Ok sounds good I guess it’s time to try the screw driver and pry the outside part of the glass, it’s tinted black on the edges so look like it would come out, do you have a part number handy for the lower glass?

Please do NOT use plexiglas/ acrylic....use POLYCARB inststead !
Polycarb is what cop shields are made from, will stop bullets and NOT shatter into lethal chards. easily bent into shape with heatgun AND it IS machinable, can drill and tap it.

Don't pry. Use dental floss (or the special ribbon the glass people use) to cut the adhesive. You pry, you risk bending the steel.

6C430-72480 Lower Rear Glass

I use a sharpened 1 1/2" wide Red Devel putty knife to remove the glass and urethane from the cabin frame. You will not bend the steel but must repaint the surfaces before installing the new glass. Remove the old urethane, but be careful around the sides as you can get into the RTV sealer at the cabin frame joints.
Note the thickness of the original urethane and the position of the glass on the frame.
