Nice! (y)

That's what I'd like to be able to do with my firewood setup. A grapple to lift the big stuff, and a decent load capacity on the forks.

I currently use IBC totes to store & haul my cut/split wood, but my BX can't lift them with the loader arms. I use a carry-all, and that is still vastly better than hauling in a wheelbarrow, but I sure would enjoy a setup like yours!

I looked for the IBC totes but they had resin or hardener in the bottom of them and I didn’t wasn’t to deal with that so I bought the foldable wire baskets. Probably just as well as when they are full of wood they are a heavy suckers and I am glad I have that weight basket in back of the tractor.

I cut directly into the baskets and then grab the wood out of there to split. See photo.

I don't use the bottle to hold the wood, just the cage. Winds up being about the same as your setup. I cut the bottle diagonally, and use it as a tent over the top to keep the rain off. Bungie cords hold it down. Works very well.

Wood comes off the splitter straight into the cage, and when it's full, I haul it to where it will live until its needed. Then I haul the cage to a spot near the door where we take the wood inside. Less handling that way. NO stacking!

Here's a pic I found that shows the same kind of setup. (This isn't mine.)

We have two garages attached to the home we are building. My wife’s 2-1/2 car and my shop 39’x51’. House is being built now.
