Neal Messick released a video on his YouTube channel today discussing some of the new and upgraded products from Kubota. As an MX owner, the MX4900 was the most interesting to me. I'm not going to buy one but it seems like a good move on Kubota's part.

I wish it was even less HP. That seems too close to the 54, but what do I know. I don't sell them and don't really need either one. ;)

I hear you. From where I sit I don't know why someone would buy an MX5400 rather than an MX6000 unless they wanted a gear drive model. There's only $2k or less difference between the two. This might be $4k less than an MX6000.

The MX6000 has 50 pto hp and 60 engine hp. It will handle anything appropriate for the weight and size of the machine. If you need 75 hp, you need a larger, heavier machine.

I do wonder how much is possible with the 2.4L four cylinder engine in the MX tractors. There are more than a few companies offering ECU programmers, DPF delete and so on. Some companies claim 10% to 30% increase in hp.

We have much larger tractors here it just seems like a waste of a turbo 2.4 to only put out 60hp was my point.

I know and am tempted to eventually do something along those lines.

Me too! I have little doubt that I'll do a DPF delete at some point, and it might be sooner than later. I already emailed one company to see what they have for the MX and M.
