hmm 6' wide blade in front of an 18HP tractor just doesn't seem 'right' to me. you'll also need a fair amount of weight out back and chains.

I will have my 6 foot 3 point blade on the back. Would actually want a UTV blade up front as those are lighter. I put on R4's in the winter with no problems moving around on snow. Just want a front blade so all I have to do is one pass instead 2. I take care of our neighbors driveways as they are a older couple. Don't charge them anything. Great neighbors.

Am considering this one. Not as large as I want it but can take the forks off and use the hitch portion to mount up front. Plan is to only use this in heavy snow and leave it about 2 inches off the ground to clear most of the front. Then let the rear blade to the rest.

One thing to add. I turn my blade backwards so I don't rip up the ground. Just tilt the blade so its almost straight down at a 45 degree angle. Works good.

Decided to try the blade from heavy hitch. If it doesn't work like I want it to, then back to the drawing board. Should help clear my front since my 1880 is 48 inches wide or so. Now watch, wont get any snow to test this out.

Just found their location is Knoxville, Tennessee. Looks like some of the area East of Knoxville was impacted greatly.

Hopefully BxPanded and their folks escaped the storm safely.

Now during the covid thing I wanted a new 6" bucket for my backhoe ........... the 6 month wait was too much, and they could not tell me when it could be made or shipped - back then, I get it - it was a crazy time.

But their products are awesome and well made.

It’s been a few years since I got my toothbar from them, but at that time really good customer service and support. They did right by me. If thinking about a purchase it’s worth a call to see if they are open taking orders and shipping IMO.

Just remember if you angle that blade it won't cut a 54" path. It might do 48" depending on the angle.

I know. But since my 1880 is 48 inches across, will help not pack snow driving across it. Plus remove allot so the 3 point blade can do the rest. Has multiple angles to adjust to so will test each one out for optimum plow. Don't plan on using it if only a few inches drop. Thanks for the heads up.

Ah, now I get it. I misread that you were using a back blade ALSO, and not instead. Yeah, you might have a few inches on each side it doesn't clear. Not a big deal if it's not the primary blade.
Side note- we don't often get a lot of snow here. If we do get "the big one", I devised a cuku plan to add a piece of sheet metal to the 3 pt. rake tines. Low budget blade.

Adding sheet metal to the tines is a good idea. I put a mesh wire on mine hoping it would collect leaves but without wheels to keep it from digging in, cannot use it. Still on the hunt for a set.

That is a great idea! I may have to try that.
