Kubota B7100HST-D rear Turf Tires Ballast : ?? How Much??

Hi Guys,
I've been 3-4 hours searching.. The Sticky here has threads that stop at 2018. Nothing specific to B7100HST Turf. Followed AI, Messicks etc etc.

I was looking for Gallons at 75% (I hear that what you get with valve stem at 12 o'clock)..

VARIABLE numbers I have seen:
Messicks 21 Gallons (If I interpolate right)
AI various 16 to 22 Gallons

So I decided to go with about 17 gallons. I bought 55 gallons of Windshield Washer -2-F at O'Reillys.

I have had UNusual results which I will add soon...

And I will do another thread on just how I did it all. Critique Welcome!

Anyone HAVE a B7100HST on which you filled rear turf tires?? What number did You use??

16 Gallons is typical - That got me to 12 o'clock valve - I too used WWF - I did it a different way.

I took valve out at 12 o'clock - Jacked up side, let it down and flattened tire, then started little pump, and then raised tractor, the slight vacuum allowed the fluid to be drawn it a bit faster.

Once pump started to moan a bit, cut it off - and flattened tire again. I cannot remember how many times I did it, something like maybe 5 times.

Since the valve was at 12 o'clock - it was easy to tell when full.

Replaced the valve and I believe the weight is something in the 120 lbs per tire.

That 240 lbs does make a hellva difference too!

The Funny Thing that happened was the second tire. It was about what I thought was approaching the 17 gallon point when the pump suddenly sounded funny and I shut it off. Pushed the little burp valve on the tire valve adapter and got LOTS of fluid, NO air. Hmmm... OK so it's up to the valve I guess. But apparently about 12 gallons based on barrel level. Hmmmm...

OK: take the adapter off and get ready to put original internal valve back in the valve stem. Right?
..POUF!! And it's blasting fluid out hard! Grabbed it and covered the stem with my thumb. Sorta stopped. Find the valve insert with other hand. Find the little wrench for it. TRY to get that valve IN with fluid blasting everywhere. Finally got it. WHEW. Didn't even have time for Tractor Swears.

SO: There MUSTA been some fluid in that tire already from former owner.

QUESTION: What now?? Leave it AsIs with "quite a bit of fluid in"..?? Or put the valve at 12 o'clock and bleed out until I get AIR??

Full, full is bad - you need the fluid to stay in the lower section of the tire to be effective with weight - so I would jack up tire off ground a bit - like 1/2" and the then open the 12 o'clock valve and allow some to spill out.

Remember the ONLY shocks you have on that machine is the little itty bitty air LEFT in those two rear tires!!! THE more the liquid takes up the lees air that is there.

Thanks.. Yeah, today I took it out and bled at the valve at 12clock until I got just air. Maybe another gallon came out. Then filled to 20 (for now) with air.

Also went back to the first tire and put a little more WW in. Didn't take more than a gallon at the most. Bled it a little to mostly air. So now they BOTH are the same...
