L2350 DT hydraulic temp to high?

I am getting ready to button it up after the rebuilding I did. Everything is functioning correct just wondering if the hydraulic temp should be around max I got was 206f with the tractor running mid RPMs without any movement on anything hydraulic. I moved the steering and it did lower it a little.
Here is what I shot after I shut down and lowering the engine to idle for about 2 min.

To high. Check your three point. Do you hear your engine labor with the three point all the way up if so try moving the lever down a small amount until it doesn't. You may need to adjust the feedback rod witch is on the lift arm. Female.

I’ll check that out! Here is the fluid I am using… any issues with it for the hydraulic and transmission?

The oil is fine. The IR temperature is on the high end of "acceptable". I would expect it to be a good bit lower. Have you measured sump oil temperature directly?

162° F.

Lots of variables. What was the ambient?

196F = 91C
162F = 72C

Most sources will tell you 80C sump temperature is the upper end of desirable operational temperature so both of those would be well up there.

While this may be interesting not much you can do about it. Kubota designed the a system and I am sure they know these numbers. The main concern with running hot is reduced oil life and I am sure that plays a big part in determining the factory specified OCI. Keep in mind engine and transmission oils run much hotter and in a much harsher environment.

About 90° F ambient.

Temperature taken roughly 5 minutes after PTO was disengaged (after 3 continuous hours of mowing).
Makes the temperature more reasonable. Let me turn this a different direction

What prompted you to sample the temperature and why do you think it is a problem? Hydraulic oil temperature is something I never think about until I touch something that's hot enough to hurt. And at that point I simply remind myself to be careful.

The tractor has been sitting for 2 years so I am going through it carefully. I felt the side of the transmission case and it was pretty warm so I just started investigating.

So I had removed the hydraulic lines that go to the loader in order to get to the clutch and I still have them disconnected that operate the front end loader…could that be the issue? I can lift the 3 point by hand as there is zero pressure to it. The 3 point will not go up or down at all with the control handle on the right side. The lines being unplugged…could I be cutting the loop that it runs?

Also, the turn knob we have never been able to move…it’s like it’s frozen in position…do you push down or pull out and turn?

You cannot just disconnect the loader. That will deadhead the pump against the relief and generates a lot of heat. But it should also cut off flow to the 3pt so how are you raising the mower ?

Hey Dan,
You are getting myself (OP) and one of the other guys in this thread confused with me. I don’t have a mower connected, that’s was another guy helping out on the thread and letting us know what his temps were. Yeah, I figured I dead headed it with that disconnect. I’ll start putting it all back together, looks like I am good to go. Thank you guys!

For what it’s worth, I’ve seen someone here on OTT cite ambient plus 100F can happen.

Drake, assuming your loader is connected like the diagram below, when the loader is disconnected a jumper must connect the two ports shown in green. You can probably use one of the loader hoses. If you don't do this, the pump is deadheaded.
