Things don't work as spelled out in the Owners Manual. Both Regen and Rpm lights are flashing, no beeping set rpm at approx. 2200 and after 30 minute still not working!!

Is it calling for a forced parked regen?

Make sure the DF regeneration inhibit button is not illuminated. If it is press the button to turn it off.

Now did the RPM light go out @2200 RPM? If not you need to increase RPM until it goes out. My L3901 won't regen @ 2200.

Once the RPM light goes out the DPF regen will continue to flash until the engine gets hot enough to actually regen. When that happens the regen light will stay on solid and the regen is in progress. Maintain those conditions until the regen light goes out signaling the regeneration is complete. Then and only then you can reduce RPM.

It's all laid out in the owner's manual. In addition to the post above, read the last note bullet in bold at bottom which is in the DPF section of the owner's manual.

I feel a DPF debate coming on😂. No I think the whole emission system is an absolutely stupid government money grab and destroying diesel engines. But if you need/want a tractor or basically anything over 26hp you have to give in. For me I found 25engine/19.5 pto hp just wasn’t enough.

I agree if you don’t need anything more “less is more “ but if you trying to do a 50hp tractor task with a 25hp it can be less forgiving non enjoyable job that’s for sure. Buy the tractor that suits your task and enjoy it.

Buying exceptionally low hour used, pre DPF, and 48HP, has worked out just fine for me.

That’s the way to go, i had a neighbour with a 2008 I believe L4740 with a cab and loader with only 350hrs he passed and they basically give it away. I did t know about it till after, would have been a great buy.

I spent 10 months looking for my 2006 L48 TLB with only 251 hours.
I would have not bought ANY tractor with DPF!
My patience paid off!

Not necessarily….just add a Turbo ;)

L2501 = 44.1 HP and 35 PTO without DPF.
However, no more Kubota warranty...

I owned a pre emissions tractor for 22 years and was getting tired of using it because the exhaust gave me a splitting sinus headache after using it for 30 minutes or longer. Since I bought my current tier 4 tractor in 2021, I can use it all day without a headache. I would never again buy an old pre-emissions machine.

Also nice not to have smoke stains on the loader arm

I have an 1100 hour SWEET little 1989 32HP Ford (Shibaura) 1920 FEL.
Yeah, it does have a smelly exhaust.
I have no plans to dispose of it because of exhaust issues.
I use the little Ford often.

In some cases the "I didn't want a tractor with DPF" is actually code word for "My wife wouldn't let me buy a bigger tractor".
