Hi Everyone,

Looking at my Kubota B7100HST-D FEL bucket: What are these 'features'
BucketQuestion.jpg
used for??
?? Loose pin with hole for retaining pin
?? The rectangular piece on the side?
?? The side hole aligned with a threaded 'bracket'

And.. at the front end:
FEParts1.jpg

The round bar across the bucket looks like its been used for lifting
IS that common??

One metal hydraulic line has been bent. Straighten it?? Leave it alone ??

THe gray section of the tractor frame has sets of holes in it, maybe threaded. What are those for??

BucketHoles.jpg

The bucket has those series of holes.. What are those used for?? Lift points??

OK.. As you can tell I'm just learning most of this stuff. I have long car / engine /welding / building experience.

I was the one in class who asked the most questions. Later people said "I'm glad you asked that! "

Many thanks for the help and this great group!

The brackets and pins on the loader bucket were to hold the bars to remove the loader.

No your not supposed to use the center cross bar for lifting.
Bend the line back.

Someone drilled those holes for something the made up, they are not factory.

If the one reference to gray tractor frame is that flat vertical plate in the picture…those holes are for bolting a bracket that holds front weights. I don’t think that bracket can be installed if the FEL is installed (Weights interfere with the loader).

It was also used to bolt on accessories like a hitch/ lift for a blower or blade. ;)

Sometimes the PTO shaft for an implement is cut too short and that is a cheap way to add some length back.

Also, there are some tractors that have a shield that makes it difficult to get the PTO shaft onto and off the PTO stub shaft. This would get it to be more accessible for that situation.

The holes in your bucket look similar to the bobcat buckets at work that have bolt on teeth/shanks.
