I know this is a common issue but I would like to know what I can do to fix it if anything. I have to hold the high/low switch in just the right spot to get it to start which is not a problem if I wasn't OCD and want everything to be correct. What do I need to replace or fix to make it start when not in a high/low position? Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by the high/low switch. But that sounds like you need to replace the switch if it is an electrical switch. Or you can get electrical contact cleaner and try to clean the switch. Just make sure the cleaner doesn’t have anything that will harm paint.

If it is a mechanical lever then there is probably a safety switch that senses the position of the lever to allow the tractor to crank. Adjust switch position or clean switch or replace the switch.

Please describe what the high/low switch in more detail as to what it does.
