Finished mowing, it’s getting late, I want to reattach the BX loader. Drive up, attach hydraulics, drop hooks and maneuver to set the loader in the frame. Ping ping, both little spring mounts shear off. I’m sure I’ve stressed them before but weird. Back to Messicks for updates. Obviously overdid something.

Oh no! Not a great way to end the day.
Maybe a picture or two of the damage?

Keep us posted

Well, after I settled down and thought a little, I tested the steel to weld Which worked. Then Pulled the parts, separated the loader, welded both sides each, tested, installed and now; good to go. I must have dropped the clips too early and did a move to stress them. Anyway, thanks for the interest.

FWIW, When I remove my loader I immediately move those levers to the down position.
When reattaching the loader the clamps just spring into the locked position without my touching the levers.
That's the way the dealer showed me when I bought the tractor.

Always read issues with the loader that has been removed at some point. I haven’t removed mine since buying it for fear of some issue cropping up.

Mine were down when I heard ping ping. Probably halfway seated when I did something jerky. I’ll be more observant, thanks.

This was my first tractor, 195h now. I get paranoid about things, but also refuse to be intimidated. I needed to mow a wet bank yesterday and didn’t need the extra weight. If you commonly remove and attach the loader and other implements it’s easier. It took a bit to learn how to clear the frame arms, but pretty straightforward now.

I just remove the bucket or forks I have on it but leave the loader on. At some point I’ll get the spacers for the rear wheels to help with slopes.

I got spacers with a 54” deck. I think they are just under

I got spacers with the 54” deck. I think they are just under 2.5” but it’s been a while. They are very close to rubbing the tread.

With a 54" deck 1½" is as large as you can go.

Ah, couldn’t recall. I do remember it was less than .5, so 1.4 then. They do help, but I still don’t Ho over 20° side to side.
