Makes sense. You could offset it by using short trusses on one side and long trusses on the other, so you'd have one tall wall and one short wall. I don't know how that would affect the cost.
My ex-neighbor built a 24x36 w/14'? door when he drove a truck. 2x4 stud wall, wood truss, corrugated steel roof and siding.

I think that may look a little weird. It would totally work though. Bet that would cost extra!

mine fits in 20w x 22' long 2 car garage just fine. Although someday I'm sure the wife will want it kicked outside so she can park the car in there. Until then, the boat lives in the garage.

That is why we now have 2 garages. She has hers and I have mine! She still borrows my tools though 😔

same here. "When are you gonna move the boat to the shop so I can park in that side?" Then we get up early on Sat morning, boat is sitting in the garage, ready to go-we hook on and we are on the water before daylight. Otherwise we gotta drive over to the shop, move a bunch of, "stuff" around to get to the boat, back the truck up to it, hook on, pull out, get out & shut the overhead door, then repeat.

Parking it in the garage rather than the shop saves about an hour. In June/early July, that is the difference between getting up at 0300 and 0415.
