Have tried to be super easy on the joy stick when lifting near max weight but it’s still jerky. Have other posts on larger tractors that there is a way to adjust it. Is there a way on my 1880 to adjust the loader so it’s smooth when lowering a heavy load? Thanks

Do you have anything on the back to counterbalance what's up front? Getting it somewhat balanced will help a lot. Think of an orange teeter-totter with a heavy kid on one side and a really skinny one on the other.

might try reducing RPMs.....
My BX23S is real jerky when compared to the forklift !
Yeah, i 'could' fix it..
one way is to 'regrind' the spool valves for smoother action but I ain't a machinest...
other way...replace the valves with electronic ones, run them in constant current mode, have PIC as the 'computer', use electrical joystick. Cutting code is easy.

Pretty much the nature of the valve - they dont meter well and it is most noticeable on heavy loads.

I dont know of any way to "adjust" it on any tractor.

I don't have a very steady hand so I find holding the joy stick down by the boot keeps movements small and it operates more smoothly

Have about 300 lbs ballast in the ballast box on back. Always have that on when using the loader lifting heavy stuff.
