pressing pedal either forward or reverse the fuel shutoff solenoid instantly activates and stalls engine. Replaced solenoid with same results. Engine starts and stops just fine. It’s a bx24D. Wondering why pressing the forward or reverse pedal would energize the solenoid. When I unplug the soleniod it runs fine.

The switch fell out of the mount. It happened at the same time as my old fuel shutoff solenoid was going bad and I developed tunnel vision. I appreciate your help.
