If you are getting old and use a wheelchair, but still 'need' to ride a bike, here is one:



A German handycapped guy tune Harley Davidson bikes for other disableds. :cool:

I used to work in a shared building with a guy who lost his right leg just above the knee. Says he can't stand to wear a prosthetic leg so he get around on crutches. Sooo his missed riding his Harley and on his own, plumbed the breaks all into one right hand break grip. Installed a wheel on an actuator and has the switch hidden so you can't see it. The Wheel on the actuator allows him to lean the bike over far enough to get his nub leg over the bike, flip the kickstand up on the right side and ride off. He also made a holster to stick his crutches in.

Oh and the best part of it all his license plate says ONELEG on it LOL

I've installed similar systems to that on Honda Goldwings. They were like landing gear. When the bike was below 4 MPH the rear wheels would drop down and anything above 4 MPH they would retract up. Great for anyone with weak knees or handicapped in some way.

That's what they do. He use a airpressure cylinder.

Looks some kind of cool :cool:
