Loader arms faded...will warranty cover this?

The only tractor manufacturer that I'm aware of that does powdercoating is TYM, and that's just on the sheet metal.

The term "polish" is generally associated with putting on a protective coating. If you polish something, then the paint will not stick very well if at all. Before painting lightly scuff the paint with a fine sandpaper and then wipe it down with a solvent to remove all the dust, followed by several coats of paint. Allow to dry for a week at minimum and then polish. If you polish the paint too soon, you will seal in the solvents, causing it to blister and peel.
The correct term would be "buff" or "compound".

I bought my L48TLB after it had been outside for 13 years.
It was quite badly faded (loader arms in particular).
Lots of compounding, and a final wax coat, and it looks close to new.

Yours was built before the government started dictating what type of paint companies could use and not use. Do you know anyone who has sprayed the new water-based automobile paint and likes the result? I don't!

Yours was built before the government started dictating what type of paint companies could use and not use. Do you know anyone who has sprayed the new water-based automobile paint and likes the result? I don't!
I don't either.

I resprayed my fenders and bucket, but used oil based enamel.

The 'kid' next door LOVES it ! All he does is 'body and paint'. Went to water about 10 years ago. It IS different,needs new gun ($500 ), different techniques and setups, something called 'blenders', store paint in HEATED area, EASY cleanup...water ! It took him 3-5 months to get used to it. Now it's second nature to him,yes still uses 'old skool oil' as well.
Providing you use the correct tools,procedures and paint it's as nice as the 'other stuff.'.

I have a 2022 model year MX6000 cab tractor with the LA1065 loader which I bought new. In fairness, it has been outside most of its life, stored inside only a few months since I got it.

The orange paint on the loader arms has faded quite a bit. The hood and body panels have not.
My 2017 is the same way.
It spent 6 years mostly in the elements ... sometimes tarped.

Loader arms are slightly faded.... hood and rear body looks good... cept for a few "oh-sh*t" dingers....

the cylinders get warm when using the machine.... not sure if that has any effect....
anyway, It don't bother me none..... It's "patina" ;)

I just recently put up a small steel carport shelter for the tractor.... I'm tickled to death with it.

GREAT choice!
All Kubota tractors deserve to be protected from the elements.

seen more than one sitting at farms and ranches, faded to almost pink.

at one point some of the M series hoods and especially the plastic roof, woudl fade to pink in a short time--Kubota was eating a few of those but it was a very small number of them and the 'bulletin' only lasted I think 2 year.

had one at the shop that got dinged in a tornado, when I worked there. I watched the tornado pass by the building, standing outside and it got really windy for about 30 seconds and then I seen the 'stuff' circling around. Anyway some kind of debris hit the hood of a M7040 and that was the only damage that any of us saw. Boss had a $5000 deductible on that stuff so claiming it on insurance would've cost 5 grand. Thus, we had a local body and paint guy pick up the hood and refinish it-and it came out beautiful, better than new. I told him if he did any more for us, don't do such a good job! Anyway, the tractor sold and a number of years later I drove past a certain M7040 that had severely faded fender flares, roof, wheels but the hood looked brand new. They were having a yard sale so I stopped in and we got to talking about his pink tractor. Said he didn't know why the hood wasn't faded but everythign else was. I asked him if we could look at the bottom of the hood, so he popped it up and sure enough there was the evidence of that certain ding that the body guy fixed so I knew it was that one. Automotive paint is a lot higher quality than what Kubota used at the time-probably still is the same way.

Had some guys complain about it said their 160 year old john deere didn't fade. Well they fade too, believe me. We used to sell them and if they sat on the yard more than about a year, the plastic hood would fade and nothing would bring the color back. If we caught it early enough, a diesel soaked rag would make it vibrant again but eventually it would "bake" off and go back to faded again. Quite a few of those got sold with diesel soaked hoods because Deere wouldn't pay for em. That was around 2000-2003 or 4.

It may be helpful to mention that there is a difference between “powder coating” and “e-coating”.

Both use electrical-charge to attract coloring-particles… powder-coat typically being a type of dry-plastic-particles similar to polyurethanes, baked in a oven to cure it…. E-coat is paint (also usually polyurethane but can be other types) which is sprayed “wet” onto an electrically-charged surface and cured in a traditional paint-cure method but not baked to high temperature.
