Looking for assistance and or confirmation..

I have a BX2380 with the 2" Wheel Spacers installed and they work great until I tried to mount my MMM last night and the hind scalping wheels of the mower would snag on the tire, ultimately needing to remove the wheel spacers to utilize the mower.

My guess is that the 54" is just the odd ball of the bunch that can't be used with wheel spacers as it seems my neighbour can use his with the 48" deck - does anyone have the 60" and use wheel spacers?

Well, the truth be told - 1 1/2" spacers work well - that 1/2" on each side makes all the difference in the world!

Many of us here with BX's and 54" decks all have max 1 1/2" spacers for the very reason you are mentioning.

Now - you could remove the rear scalping wheel or if handy - reposition it.

Yeah - that was my second option switching them out for 1 1/2" spacers.. Thanks

I am using the 1 1/2” spacers on my Bx2380 with the 60” deck. About 1/2” space from the deck edge to the wheels. Tight, but works.

Am I correct that you cannot put spacers on the rears of a BX1880 with the 54" deck? A slightly wider stance would be nice.

You should be able to place 1 1/2" on them without problem.

You have tires on the tractor now. You also probably have the mower deck on the tractor now. So you should be able to make a measurement and determine how much the tire can move out from where it is now before it hits anything on the mower deck.

Also measure when the deck is all the way up in the top position and when it’s all the way down. In my case on my BX 2200, the rear guide wheel holders get closer to the tires when the deck is raised. And also in my case one side is closer than the other, so check both sides.

I don’t remember what spacers I bought, but I think they were either one inch (or inch and a quarter) wide. That’s the maximum that would work on my BX2200.

I used 1.4" spacers from Bro-Tek on my BX1880 with a 54' deck. They fit fine, deck fully raises and the anti scalping wheels do not touch the tires. I have turf tires. I'd say 1.5' will work given there is still clearance with the 1.4s.

Thanks for the info. Have to order a set. That extra width would be nice.

Jeep spacers are a hellva lot cheaper and are the same all the way around . Do your research however.

Agree. I would be happy with 1.25” spacers rather than 1.4” spacers, for probably 1/3 of the price. That’s what I have on my BX 2200. Good quality and the price was right.

On the other hand, I bought 4 inch spacers from BroTech for my B2910 recently, and I can say the quality and delivery were exceptional. But of course I couldn’t find those spacers on eBay or Amazon.

Been considering spacers for my 1880. Is the mower deck the only issue with spacers? I switch my tires in the winter from my turf tires that came with the tractor to R4’s. Just checking before I order the 1.4’s.

Should not be a problem - MMM is the only concern = well, not true, there are those that have spaced themselves out so far that the width of rear is greater than width of FEL :ROFLMAO:

Thanks. Have a ditch that is steep that scares me a little. Have to lean pretty good. When it’s dry, can go across but with all the rain lately, have to go cross way so I don’t rut the center.

I hope not. Hope to order during winter months so ready for spring cutting. I don’t have my ROPS up all the way so I can get into the garage. Kept forgetting to lower it so now it’s locked at 60 degrees.
