How often do you have to replace faulty hydraulic lines? It seems like I replace one a year, not the same one, very light use and no abuse or accident. Only about $15 so no big expense, just a pain since the dealer is 50 miles away. Tractor is about 7 years old and stored in barn, don't know how long hoses are supposed to last.

A decade or more going on two. Why are you replacing them?

The hoses are deteriorating, leaking from hose and not fitting. No rubs/abrasions, no bending or flexing to any degree. These are original hoses, have not had any of the replacements leak so it's not the locations. Always stored inside so no sun damage, just wondered if anyone else had similar issues.

Must be a breakdown in quality of materials in your machine. This past winter I had to replace two hoses on my 1966 Case 730. They were original hoses! I have some other machines and I've only replace one other hyd hose, and that machine has set outside for a long time.

By BX22 was constantly having leaking or burst hoses after about 12 years. The pressure was factory set and I never messed with it. I attribute the problem to the smaller hoses were not as stout as the hoses on bigger machines.

I attribute the problem to cheap poor quality hose.

Thats just about what it costs me to make a one foot long hose using Gates R16 MXT hose and two 1/2" JIC female swivel hose ends.

Hoses last until they break. Most recent for me was a pressure washer hose bursting. No rhyme or reason, stuff just fails when it wants to. Luckily blew away from me at the time.

All the hoses on my 1989 Ford 1920TL are original.
35 years old.

I just want to know where you’re getting hoses for $15!

From my Kubota dealer, H24504-NAPX 1/4 Hydr hose plus 2 1/4x3/8 #6 JICF straight swivel fittings.
With tax it came to $16.81, I was a bit off.

FJX-04-06 HOSE ENDS - 2 @ $3.50
H24504 Eaton/Weatherhead R16-04 HOSE - $3.50 per foot.

So how long is your $15 hose? Regardless your Kubota dealer is giving you quite a deal.

1/4” hose existing completely slipped my mind… haha. Sounds like you have a good dealer.

It's about a foot long, on the FEL. I have found our dealer is quite fair price wise on most of the stuff I have bought from them.

Had 2 more hoses fail this weekend, that makes 5. B2650 is 7 years old and parked in barn when not in use so there should be no sun/weather damage. Hoses are failing not the fittings. Anybody else having issues with 2016 B series hoses? Have to believe there was a bad batch of hose material during that time.
Also just found out that local Carquest makes hoses, I usually get mine from Kubota 50 miles away. Any input about Carquest hydraulic hoses?

They are going to be using bulk hydraulic hose. Call them up and tell them you want R16 hose in whatever size you need and ask what brand they use.
