Mods to a $193 ebay 3 point pallet fork

I bought one of those Chinesium 3 point pallet fork sets for $193 with free shipping a couple weeks ago. Notheavy duty and rated for 1500 pounds according to the listing. Really the sticker on it said 1000 pounds max. Probably would explode with 1500 pounds. This is what it looks like now with some strengthening and mods. I sprayed it with truck bed coating when done

I added 2-2 inch receivers for towing and my weight hitch that holds 12 - 25 pound steel weights. Added 2 chain holders for 2 - 6 ft chains.

Added e track for straps and doubled up the mounting for the 3 point pins with 1/4 angle

Added spacers in the arms to keep them from flopping

And cross drilled the bolts to add handles for tightening without a tool

Welded on some d rings for strapping on a tool rack pallet

Then drilled and sleeved the end for stop rods.

Welded on sleeves to keep bees from nesting in the tubes.

All old materials I had laying around and the bed liner cans were all I bought. I am happy with the outcome and will be making tool rack pallets next.

This is my weight bar brother front of my BX but it works wherever there is a 2 inch hitch and holds standard 1incp weight plates,

It can be flipped out or moved to the bottom hitch for better weight distribution when not picking up pallets

I now know it will handle over 700 pounds of 4 ft x 7 ft solar panels no problem.

Guess I'm transtractor. Color doesn't matter, I go both ways . Been trying to sell it to change colors, but seems like people don't want green anymore. In the end it's the black thing that matters 🫢.

Thanks. It was Seymour 20-41 truck bed coating. A guy on ebay has the best price. Takes about a week before it gets hard . A couple thin coats made a nice fine texture. Don't know how long it will last because this is the first time I have tried it.
