Hey Everybody!

So, I'm back with another weird issue... I've already searched the internet and this forum for answers.

After a major servicing (including hydraulic flushing and filter change) of my BX2200 from my local Kubota dealer, I re-attached the loader (LA211) and immediately blew out a rubber hydraulic line. No big deal, I thought. Got a new one made locally; installed it and bled the line + cylinder. Now the bucket won't "roll back". I've already checked for leaks, none. Checked fluid level, full. Hydraulic lines from BX are plumbed so disconnects only fit one way no possibility of accidental reversing. Cleaned and checked functionality of LA211 control valve. It will move up, down, and dump without any trouble, but still no roll back. There is a very minor weeping of fluid from the "shut-off plug" on the control valve assembly. When the lever is held in the roll back position, I can hear the system straining and see pressure building in the lines.

Is there a simple resolution that I missed?

Do I need a new control valve?

If so, how do I identify it as a 3-pos vs a 4-pos?

Your valve is fine.

You may have the bucket connections to the valve reversed.

You may have a bad quick coupler

Fluid is not flowing properly.
You have lines crossed or you have bad quick disconnects.

Thanks for the quick replies... A little more clarification in case I omitted something crucial.

Before disconnecting the the loader to have the tractor serviced, everything worked as it should although the lever movement for roll back was finicky. When moving the lever to the left there was a sweet spot, too far left or not enough and it was a dead stick.

During the servicing, the mechanic replaced the quick couplers on my BX, and gave me the new mating pair to replace on the loader. I'm assuming new dealer stock wasn't defective?

No lines on the loader itself (i.e. the control valve) were disconnect other than the 3 quick disconnects connecting to the tractor, and, of course, the aforementioned rubber line replacement.

If the lines from the tractor were somehow reversed, wouldn't all other loader functions also be affected?

No. Curl is the only function that uses the tank connection to the tractor. If it is not properly connected only roll would be affected. Likewise if rod and base end couplers are reversed roll is the only thing affected.

This is really easy to diagnose by disconnecting one or two hoses and looking for flow when you operate the joystick.

Thanks Dan!

I'm an idiot... The mechanic only changed one set of the three disconnects. When I reinstalled the loader one line (return maybe?) wasn't fully seated due to dirt. After cleaning both sides and ensuring it was fully seated, everything worked.

Thanks again for helping get it sorted.
