Seat Hot In Summer

Got a new B2601 during the winter, and really like the machine.
However, now that summer is upon us the black seat gets really hot
In fact so hot it almost burns
I realize I can tip the seat forward when off the tractor to help some,
but what, if anything, are others doing for this?

A couple of large beach towels folded over the seat should provide you with comfort and a little padding as an extra benefit.

I try my best to park in the shade…if not possible I flip the seat up. If you don’t have much shade maybe consider a canopy?

Park in the shade, flip seat up, towel or cloth seat cover. If you wear shorts some sort of cover is almost required.

My OEM seat was black.
I replaced it with white aftermarket vinyl (can be wiped clean) specifically to avoid the hot seat issue.

Go to the Durafit website, or search for them on Amazon. Find the correct fit cordura seat cover. $40 and problem solved. It will also protect your seat.

My little Craftsman lawn “tractor” also had a hot black vinyl seat…and i ordered a fabric seat-slip-cover for it. Problem solved.

I put the Kubota plastic roof on my BX that keeps me out of the sun also.
