I have an L3901. I also have front 3rd function, I believe it is land pride.
I recently purchased/installed 2 rear remotes.
My question is in the in and out or circulation lines. I am being told by local dealers that the lines cannot be hooked up directly because I have that 3rd function.
Has anyone done this same addition ? Can you tell me if it is possible to connect through the 3rd function and loader etc?
And even a bigger favor, could you send me a very detailed drawing of the ports/routing for the hoses?

I jave no idea what the dealer is talking about. This is about the easiest installation going.

Did ypu buy the OEM remotes or something third party? Tell me exactly what you bought and I will give you s diagram.

I bought Kubota remotes (2). The 3rd function is the land pride (I think) dealer installed. One dealer tells me I need a T fitting under the seat, they offered to send a tech to do it. Another dealer or service tech said it can be done and he would send a diagram but has not as of yet.

Sounds like the dealer has it covered. You will need a tee but under the right footbosrd not the seat. The remotes go under the sest. Did you get the instructions with the remotes? The plumbing is the easy part. Mounting the valvex and installing the handles is the real work. You goung to do it yourself?

All of the installation is done except the hoses. It wasn't bad, no thanks to Kubota's instructions. I just don't know hydraulics well and this is my first tractor.

In that case you are almost home.

I misspoke about the tee - you do not need that with the OEM remotes. You have two hoses to connect.

  1. Remove the hose cinnected to the tank port on the third function valve at both the valve and the hydraulic block.
  2. Using the hose that came with the kit connect the tank port on the 3rd function to the inlet port on the rear remote valve stack. That hose was supposed to go to the loader valve so it may bè too long. Just buy a replacement if it is a problem.
  3. Using the hose that came with the kit connect the power beyond port on the remote valve stack to the open port on the hydraulic block.
Thats it - done.
