Kubota 1880BX cutting dial won't lower

I'm VERY new to tractors, a complete novice. I was able to raise the cutting dial to 4. Now I can't lower it.

I know you have to lift the deck, the knob only turns clockwise. But, when the messages I read say do this or that, I have to research that information.

Can someone direct me to a video or give me steps and tricks to get it lowered again?

Just need to raise it enough to take weight off the height adjustment mechanism.

Use your control level to raise the deck until you can just hear the hydraulics go into relief. You'll hear a change in the sound when it hits top. Release lever and allow it to go to center again.

Now you should be able to turn the adjustment knob.

RCW is right. Did it to me on my 1880. I just raise all the way up. The 3 point I noticed goes up all the way first, then the deck. Might have to play around with the knob a little. Let us know how it goes.

There is also an adjustment that can be made up behind the left rear wheel. Check your owner's manual. It's in there.

I did everything you suggested. Also sprayed WD40 in the area. Finally moved!!!

In what area? BTW, how many hours on your 1880?
