I noticed quite a large spot of hydraulic fluid on the floor under the rear end of my 2004 L4630 tractor. I traced the "leak" to a hole below the cab and above the rear end of the tractor. I've never had fluid on the floor before and would like to know what is supposed to occupy that hole. Can anyone help please?

This vent line is out of place.
It is supposed to occupy that hole. ;)
Little loctite on the fitting when you put it back in will help it stay put.

That is great help. Thank you very much. I am thinking maybe that line pulled out because we shortened it a few years ago to deal with a leak. It was leaking near the end and we cut the line back and re-connected it. IIRC it took quite a bit of pull on the hose to slip it over the fitting and get the clamp back on. So, maybe some additional tension pulling on it over these 4 years gradually worked it loose? The plan right now is to replace the line with something a bit longer. Plus, I am thinking it might take a bit of ingenuity to press fit the fitting back into the hole it belongs in. I tried pushing it in by hand this morning and it wouldn't go.
