I've done my homework and all I can say is the dog ate it!!! I've got a l175... Thanks to this forum I repaired the reverse gear, and I'm certainly nt a mechanic...

The next issue, here's where the homework comment comes in... I searched through 385 threads about the L175 and didn't find the first thing regarding my problem..

The previous owner welded the adjustable side link... So, needless to say its not adjustable anymore... 95% of the tractors life is pulling a scrape blade on our 1500' gravel driveway... Not being able to adjust it means the blade is at a constant angle (not parallel to the ground.). Its not far off but enough that it throws expensive gravel off the driveway... I called kubota, 379$ will buy a new adjustable link. That's half a load of gravel around these parts. Where can I get a link that is not a rip off and that isn't welded?

Also, the top link is aftermarket.. We've been through 3 links because the top(closest to the seat) bends because I think it's too long... Is there an aftermarket top link that the same length at OEM? Tractor supply is my only parts store within 50 miles and they of course do not have it...

Thanks in advance!

For the side link you can try Weavers Compact tractors for an aftermarket at about $30. I got one for my L185 and it works OK. Needs to have the ball socket freed up. There is some "junk yards" for tractors also = http://wkytpstore.com/

The stock one on mine was just all jammed up but I finally got it all apart and working. If yours is anything like mine it could be cut and repaired. The hardest part would be finding the LH thread rod for one end - I think McMaster Carr could provide it. Mine was US thread at 0.75 diameter.

I went out and looked at my L175 to make sure.

For the right side lift arm, you could get a turnbuckle (like stockcar racers use as tierods) and wled the longer ends as necessary to fit. It would be more expensive than the used ones Russel King referenced, but cheaper than new from Kubota.

I don't know how long the top link should be (I use my L175 as a lawnmower, with a belly mower), but I have cut the center section and welded in an extension on the cheap ones before. No reason you couldn't cut and shorten one, although you may have to also shorten the threaded inserts.

Thanks in advance guys. Id really like a used kubota for the side adjustment. And then stabilizers from Hodge to replace the cheesy turnbuckles. I still need a length for the top link. I think the ones im getting from TSC are too long but i really dont know becuase i dont know the length of an original. The weblink does not offer what kubota tractors it will fit, only fords. Id like actual kubota deminisions. Thanks again!

Just got off the phone with Greg (i think) from West Kentucky Tractor Parts. Super nice guy with lots of knowledge.

He had both the parts I needed and at a good price too.

I asked him about a return policy in case we werent talking about the same part. They have a 20 day return policy. My favorite part, he said, "These wont be the wrong parts!" Cant beat that! Thanks again.

Now i need to pony up some money to Hodge for some side adjustment and get rid of the lame turnbuckles.
