dual clutch l2550

Greetings,Split the unit to replace dual clutch.Went to re mate hard time ,hard to mate.2 plates with different size splines,lined up wth a broomstick.Should I buy a
clutch tool?should the tool have 2 spline sizes?see them on the web but look to be a single clutch.Are they the same? Advise appreciated . Ty St Pete

Go to the auto parts and get a universal clutch alignment tool. It will have different size tips that fit in the pilot bearing. Then it has a tapered piece that will line up the first clutch. Rap electrical tape around the tapered piece where the second clutch disc is. Put enough on there that it fits snug in the second disc. This will line up both disc without having to buy something special. Also be sure your throw out bearing is backed off all the way so it isn't interfering.

And here I just use a bolt and a deep socket to align them.
