I had an M62, they are workhorse machines. I traded it in on a Cab L6060 and a KX040-4 excavator...better for my use case and I could afford to. The L45 is the middle size TLB, like the newer L47.

These models typically have rear PTO, so you will want 3 PT link set if you plan on using that feature. The FEL is not detachable like other Kubota tractors. The backhoe is superior to all kubota backhoes except for the bigger brother M59/M62. Its a beast of a machine. If it is in great condition and you need this type of machine go for it.

How many hours? Do you have a link to the sales website (if available). Where was it used? Maintenance logs? What are you planning on doing with it? Give us a list of tasks you want to use it for in the next 1-3 years.

I have always had Kubota TLB’s
L35
L48
M62 (did not like the emissions on this)
and wouldn’t buy any other BHoe
I sold all my equipment with the sale of my company
I also use the 3ph on the tractor so the Kubota’s are best
So since I’ve not had a L45 or L47 just want to be sure their not bad apples in the TLB lineup
I think the 45 is preemissions
as well so that’s why I’m asking about it

The L45 is pre-emission. There may not be many owners on the forum, but I don't recall any complaints. The L45's didn't come with 3pt arms, so if the seller didn't buy them, they'll set you back about 700USD (complete set-up).

I have a 2006 L48 TLB with 260+ hours.
I bought it from the original owner in 2019.
I have used it very little, because more than half the year, I live at a different location.

The L45 TLB is a no DPF machine as others have stated, and just slightly smaller than my L48 TLB.
I love my L48, and think that you would be very pleased with an L45.
I have a 16" bucket, a 24" bucket, and 28" deep root ripper ( as well as loader bucket, forks, and grapple).

L45 TLBs were manufactured from 2009- 2015

Reading this gives me "backhoe envy".......

But hey, it's not the "size" of your backhoe........it's how you use it.....right????

Also do you or other members have input on the difference between the L45 or the L39
Other than the horsepower

The BH dig depths are listed as being the same.
The L39 has the Kubota "glide shift transmission", which requires shifting, but does not need clutching.
The L45 is a true "hydrostatic transmission".
The L39 is a 39HP 3 cyl diesel.
The L45 is a 4 cyl diesel.
The L39 was first sold in 2005.
The L45 was sold from 2009-2015.
Though not huge numbers of neither were built, L45 parts availability is likely somewhat better, due to it's more current dating.
Neither tractor has a DPF system.
