Hello all,
I'm getting ready to close on a 4 acre property and looking at a tractor to help do some brush hogging, minor grading and general land maintenance. Im talking to my dealer about a new L3302HST and the quote is a little more than I was expecting. The tractor (HST, R4 tires) is $26,200. The LA526 loader with 66" QD is $6,700. Box scrapper BB1260 is $900, totaling $33,800 - Kubota rebate of $3,000 so $30,800 (plus miscellaneous fees).
If I build the tractor on Kubota's webpage it comes to $25,599 (tractor with R4), LA526 loader is $5,753 but the box scrapper doesn't offer pricing. Minus the $3,000 rebate is $29,196. The dealer quote for the tractor and loader only is $29,900.
This is my first tractor purchase but I purchased cars/boats/SxS and I've never paid MSRP, much less over. Like ATVs/SxS there is an assembly fee...I understand, but even including the assemble fees the agreed price is below MSRP. The dealer doesn't seem to be willing to budge. Is this just the way tractor sales are or should I start shopping other dealers?
Thank you in advance.
