Lifetime and Well Known members can probably ignore this post, I realize the topic has been posted several times before.

However, I thought it prudent to restate the obvious for newbees and knobs like me who read something that should be done but for whatever reason don’t. It could possibly prevent an unforeseen and/or regretful event.

I noticed lately when I take my foot off the speed control level (treadle pedal?) the tractor would continue to move in either the forward or backward direction. So thinking really hard (Whinnie the Poo style) I remembered some advice on OTT about lubricating some hidden grease jerk. Here’s what I found. Looked like a mouse nest.

Now it's all greased up and good as new. So simple, quick, and easy but never done until...

Thanks for sharing. It's a zerk fitting, not jerk. No need to call your tractor names.
