Hi Dave,
Did you use 1/2 ID hydraulic hoses for your hookup of the Sabre cutter?
On the off chance that you meant to reply to me, no, I didn't. The rest of the tractor is plumbed with 3/8ths IIRC, so there didn't seem to be much point.

I have had a Samurai cutter for a number of years.
Do not buy without the breakaway mount
On a M7040 I used a pressure balanced flow control to get the cutter down to the recommended speed and because I had an industrial strobe light I used it to verify the speed.
Do not just clamp it to the side of your bucket as it will bend it.
I used heavy pieces of steel plate between the cutter mount and the bucket after I noticed the bending.

Hi Dave,
Did you use 1/2 inch ID hoses for the hookup of the Sabre cutter on your M7040 or just 3/8 inch ID hoses for the hookup?

Hi Everyone
i am in the Uk and know nothing about agricultural equipment. I do possess an old Alice Chalmers Simplicity with a bucket and hydraulics.
Would this samurai work on such a machine. Perhaps some of you 'small kubota' owners might know of this older tractor ? Samurai seems a useful piece of kit. I have fairly not challenging hedges to cut.
Also, who is the manufacturer and how would I contact them ? At present I have only seen a dealer in Canada
Cheers Anyway
