IF replacing the block.....I'd actually prefer a used (seasoned) block to a new one. Just have it magnafluxed and carefully inspected.
A professionally remanufactured D600 long block is $4K. So much easier and not much more $$$ than DIY.Anyone know a good ballpark cost for a true 'complete rebuild', including machine shop costs ?
I dont think that is horribly expensive.yeesh I've seen complete engines for $2K.....
What's missing from a 'long block' as I assume that's NOT a drop in and go engine ?
Dont know.so would that long block include the injector pump ?
