Seeing where Everything Attachments is having difficulty. Was going to order their gearbox cover for my Land Pride RC 1860. Are there any alternatives anyone might know about? Google not coming up with anything.

Thanks.

Is this what you are looking for? It is the top plate/cover on the gear box; you will need to confirm it fits.

There's not a picture for what you suggested.. The part I want replaces the plastic flower pot looking thing connected to the front of the gearbox: By pulling the lynch pin on the top one can grease the PTO shaft and deal with the slip clutch if necessary. Picture shown above.
Thank you for looking the other up though.

OK - you want the Land Pride Cone

I ordered the EA cover about a year ago. They charged my c/c but never shipped. When I called, the guy I spoke to wasn't the least bit interested in helping and offered to return my money.
I finally made my own with a metal brake and drill press.

You are a lucky man…. if you had called today … there’d be no answer. Soon you’ll likely hear “We’re sorry. You have dialed a non-working number. Please hang up and Try Again. Recording Six Five Oh.”

Elliott, the cone is the part I want to replace with a new cover. It makes getting to the shaft and gears easier than getting around the plastic cone which I find to be almost impossible. The EA cover allows the cover to be quickly removed and replaced for service.

OK - I misunderstood. Although it is not the easiest, I do not have any real issues with the cone; in fact, I will be slipping my PTO clutch the next time I am at our property. I do it every spring.

Good luck finding the other shield.

Perhaps it might be possible to source one from JD and modify it to fit your Landpride?

I am including the picture just to illustrate that JD used them on some of their cutters. I also checked quick with Bush Hog and they use them on selected models.

Assembly number #16. I have no idea if still in production or is available.

I despise those plastic cones that make it a PITA to grease u-joints. I've ripped them off the rotary cutter and flail mower and started to make up metal versions that would allow easy greasing. So easy to make if you have a way to cut, fold and weld steel.

My flower pot fell off too. 5 gallon bucket with cutouts for shafts cover the slip clutch when parked.

Our BushHog 286 came with the flip up cover. It might fit yours if your box has mounting holes. Parts 2 and 3, plus a few pins and bolts. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't flip all the way back and needs a chain to keep it from dropping back on your hand. I probably need to see if it can be changed.
