Took the motorcycle to Walmart. About 20 miles from the house. The ride home via Vermont was close to 140 miles with a coffee stop. Got home and did not get bitched at !!
Perhaps 2024 will get easier than 2023.
I may or not may not get up early to plow the snow that may or may not get here.
Retirement and single does have some advantages.

The older you get, ......the more appreciative of those "advantages"

I guess it is a matter of individual preference.

It takes time to adjust to a new life. I am glad you are finding some positives.

I’ve enjoyed it both ways…. When you‘re with the person you want to be with…it’s sublime.

Sometimes that’s just you. Sometimes it’s with another.

If you’re particularly lucky… you‘re sharing life with a person who loves your happiness as their own…

What motorcycle are you riding?

My two favorites: Our ‘34 HD VLD and ‘51 BMW R-51.

If your referring to getting divorced in 2023 you certainly have my sympathy.
As it's a club no one ever thought they would be a member of.

GeoHorn, The bike is a 2024 Honda Goldwing Tour. Six speed manual. Vin is 00001. COO !

WFM, Not divorced. Became a widower due to a freak accident in the home. The bike helps me get out of the house .
If I am to be a couch potato I might as well do it at 80 mph !!!!

On the positive side having a spouse means I have someone to change my diapers when I get older...and lock me in a long term care home...

Wife divorced me in '81, moved to Mississippi a couple of years later, fell on bad times (couldn't keep her mouth shut and got fired), sent a truck and trailer down and brought her and the kids back. Lived here another year, got on he feet, moved out but a few years later the kids moved back in. Last one left (well actually I booted him out) in '95. A friend sold her house and needed a place to live in '18, moved her stuff here, but she spends the summers in the UP. She finally bought a house locally and we are in the process of moving her stuff to the new house.
So, I guess I've been single a few times.
Best part living alone is that no matter what I have, it's always right where I left it, or the same amount as when I last used some of it.

😂 :ROFLMAO:😅 …. Yeah… I’m married to someone with a “nesting instinct”…. Whenever she realizes I know where something is….. She Moves It..!! 😂

I lost my first wife to cancer. I no longer had someone that said I shouldn't buy.... So I went out and bought a back hoe attachment for my BX.

My wife said that if I bought another car, she was going to leave me. I bought 2 more just in case one wasn't enough. I will help her pack in the morning.
