I was looking at installing a block heater . I heard the ones that heat the engine water work better than the type that heat your engine oil. The type I found screw into the freeze plug hole.
I wasnt sure if my freeze plug screwed out, I tried to look it up on engine diagram. But I saw two engine plugs. I didn't know which one it was , but neither looked liked it was a screw type.
Then I thought a radiator hose type heater would be easier and safer to install. But I don't really know which one would be correct for a d950-bw
Just looking for opinions

This is the one you want:
You remove one frost plug and replace it with this.
I have that exact one in several Kubota engine here.

I prefer heaters that heat the coolant over the ones that heat the oil because heating the oil (and sump) creates condensation in the oil… but heating the coolant heats the entire system.
