didn't get a pic but there was a possum mom carrying her lil'uns across the yard earlier. Don't know what they eat this time of year but she was in a hurry to get somewhere-at least as much of a hurry as she could be in given her passengers additional weight and drag. I got a cat that lives in the house (or more specifically I live in the cat's house....if you know anything about cats, you know)-and he was telling me all about our visitors.

It must be skunk-migration season as I see a lot of black/white/smelly smudges on the roadways and I just passed over a lucky one last night and my truck now stinks.

Or mating season. I saw several dead on my trip from west Tn to north Ms.

The false spring is to goad you into starting plants in the greenhouse. Then after a couple of warm weeks, the freezes and frozen precipitation arrives to kill all the buds on your trees.

I mowed a few acres of dry field yesterday. Otherwise the spring weather won't let me mow till summer and it's too late.
