Hello, its my first time posting on a forum so let me know if I do something wrong here. I have a 95 L2900 with a Woods Dual 165 bucket. I was moving some bags of concrete around the house when the hydraulic control started making a loud noise like it was bypassing fluid internally. The bucket stays up but the sound only quiets when I engage the control. I cant find an exploded view of the controller but my guess is I lost an o-ring or two. I disassembled the unit and found four o-rings in the unit, one at the top and bottom of each of the rods. If anyone has any drawings it would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Good news The O-rings have nothing to do with sealing the spool valves internally, and they have nothing to do with you loosing control or the cause of any bypass or noise issues.
The bad news is something else is going on with it.
Check the three point control and see if it's all the way up, if it is move it more towards the middle and see if that cures the problem.
if it does you have a mal-adjusted three point feed back linkage easy fix.

My guess is the valve is fine and you have a downstream obstruction in the power beyond circuit.

I see you have a backhoe listed in your profile. I would be looking hard at the hydraulic connections going to it as well as the position of the 3pt lift handle. Real good chance something there is blocking the power beyond line on the loader valve.

Put the valve back together and start doing some testing to identify the source of the problem.

Thank you for the information. Its been a long week and I look forward to starting it up and checking this out. I am pretty sure the three point is in the full up position right now so that gives me a good starting point.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I went out this morning and began to go over all of the hydraulic lines and checking lever positions. The three point was in float, the back hoe is attached right now. So I began checking the lines and found the return line coupling for the back hoe was not coupled properly. I corrected it and started the tractor. No more noise. Thanks for getting me to look in another direction. The help is much appreciated.
