I have a B3200 purchased new March 2011, currently has 1180 hours.
I always run the glow plugs for 10 sec when cold starting. It blows "blue/white" smoke until it idles out. It does not show smoke at any other time.
I was told at one time, it is oil draining down thru valve guides oil into the cylinders.
Should this be addressed?

It most likely is incomplete combustion. until the cylinders warm up enough to completely burn the fuel injected

It's not the valve guides.
It's more likely, tired glow plugs, or tired injectors, or little lower compression than new.

Put some new glow plugs in it and the issue will probably go away.
