1st post here, just picked up this mx5000. I have a block heater on the way. Which frost plug location should I pick? Any installation tips?
Thanks

1 is my first choice, 2 is my second choice.
DONT DRILL THEM, bad things happen really fast.
Just knock one edge into the hole spinning it sideways and grab it with pliers and pull it out.
You can use thread sealer on the drive in bushing, I don't and had one yet to leak.

Don't force it, get a bigger hammer. I am only joking. It will not take much to push it out. I did mine with a flat-bladed screwdriver and a light hammer tapping at 3 o'clock. 2 or 3 taps and it started moving. Grabbed it with a pair of adjustable pliers and out it came. It was a lot easier than the threaded block heater in my old BX22 tractor. It took a breaker bar and a pipe persuaded to break the Allen screw plug loose. I was worried about damaging the engine block. I also didn't cheap out using a 3rd world County Allen socket and bought one from Snap-On. Dealer told me that if it didn't look used he would take it back at full price or 50% if it looked used. I lucked out and there wasn't a mark on it.
