No snow blower usage yet, and nothing in the forecast for the next week. This is the latest with no real snow and below freezing temps here in N Idaho that I can remember.
Your camera needs its lens cleaned. It is full of white dots that blur the picture. No snow to speak of in central New Yorkistan.
I'm good with that.
Just hope we don't see a 30-40" dump like we've gotten a few times in recent years.
A little bit at a time is central New York - - 1-5" is normal. We call them flurries.
6-8" at a time is a hassle, but anything over 20" gets a little challenging.....
As @North Idaho Wolfman would say, Robo-Cop or Batman would have to show up and do the neighborhood driveways for me….this was 34” iirc….

There's been many bacteria of the sort for years, some antibiotic-resistant.Without spending time doing my day job (Earth Science Teacher) I will say this: warm weather will bring the flesh eating bacteria further north due to warming water temps. I personally want below zero weather....so I can fish and swim in the summer without the chance of bacteria eating my flesh.
The ticks were imported to Connecticut when the deer population had declined from overhunting. Then CT decided to import deer from another state to help repopulate the deer population and those deer were heavily infected with ticks. The only reason it is called Lyme disease is because that is where it was first identified. There's been many bacteria of the sort for years, some antibiotic-resistant.
I think early '90's. High school classmate died of a staph variety in the same hospital on the same day his wife delivered their child. So sad.
To your point, there's many pathogens we didn't see in cold climates before. Lyme is the first to come to mind. 30+ years ago, anytime I received a report of Lyme in upstate New York, there was always travel in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Hudson Valley.
Now, Lyme is prevalent in Deer Ticks throughout Central New York. Know many that are struggling with it today.
You mean Quebec or maritimes? No snow on the ground in eastern Canada and not really anything forcast for the next week either.
The maritimes, PEI, NB & NS.You mean Quebec or maritimes?
Isn’t it unusual for Quebec to have no snow at this time of year?
