Snowblower on a BX1860

I just got a new BX1860 with front mount snowblower. It is the first ever tractor for me. The question I have is that why does the manual for it say..
IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to the drive kit components, do not raise or lower the snowblower while blowing snow. Always make this operation when the snowblower is not blowing.

Are you supposed to leave the blower on the ground as you back up or disengage it every time you want to back up and then lift it.

Never understood that either for my bx2750 blower

I just raise it enough to clear the surface when backing up, 2-3 inches

It means just what it says, do not lift blower when under load ( blowing snow). It does put more load on the drive shaft when it must extend while loaded. that being said, I do, and I'm sure most people do lift it under load and we aren't repairing any drive components!
