Can't get my 2010 BX25 to crank. Tried several different batteries, tried jump starting from my truck, bypassed the two safety switches under the seat, cleaned battery terminals, checked fuses. Can't find the switch that is activated by pressing the brake pedal. Anyone know where that is? Tractor has been sitting idle for a couple if months without being started. I hear the click that sounds like the solenoid is being activated. Only had this happen once before & the battery terminals were a little dirty. The headlights, tail light & turn signals all work & seem bright, indicating that the battery is not low.

Just found the problem. After I posted my problem, I did another search & found something that I misssed on my first search. J. Starkey had a post with a similar problem & mentioned the cure. It was the HST pedal. Did like James suggested & moved the pedal while the key was in the start position. After the pedal travel up & down a few times the tractor started. Thanks to Mr Starkey for posting that solution. Wasted about two hours today trying to figure this out. At least I will know next time. Did learn a few things about the tractor though.

I've already put an emergency start switch on my bx, for that someday it won't spin over. It's wired from the battery straight to the starter solenoid. Thanks, mr starsky for posting that fix.

I'm not familiar with your tractor but have read many times about the seat safety switch causing problems. Fuses can also be something that easily overlooked. I'm sure someone will chime in and point you in the right direction.

From the wiring diagram there are the following things in the starter circuit.
Slow blow 50 amp fuse (or fusible link) in main cable from starter main terminal to fuse block and main switch, (OFF/ON/GLOW/START switch), PTO switch, HST Neutral switch, solenoid. Give the PTO and HST switches a workout!
Also in the WSM they discuss what stops the tractor, bum off seat after one second(if fitted) etc., and some switch diagnostics. Worth a read.

I would sure like to know about that emergency start switch. I'm 2 1/2 hours from the dealer, and borrowed a trailer when I bought it, and been on the phone with them twice. There going to call me back when they "come up with something".

,,,,, the dayum PTO lever yeah
What Skeets said - has happened at least 20 times to me. Catch it getting on/off tractor - move it just a whisker......

Also check to make sure the HST pedal is centered.

Good luck!

I appreciate all the info on this post. I ended up disconnecting the black wire with white stripe off the starter, and then shorting from where it connects to the starter and the positive wire connection from the battery on the starter and started it. So at least I got a days work done and can now get it into my shop to further figure out which sensor is bad. I could not find the one for the HST while I was laying out in the brush and it getting dark on me. I did find the PTO with no trouble, but not sure I completed the circuit as it has 4 wires instead of two like the seat does. I'll try and update my progress in a day or two. Thanks for letting me jump into this post and all your advise.

I'll look at it again now that its back in my shop. I got about 300 feet of fence done the last two days. Supposed to rain the next few days, so I'm taking a break.

I believe I found the culprit. The HST safety switch. I removed and bypassed all safety switches one at a time, and tested each with a multi meter set on ohms. I can "zero out" all except the HST switch. I started the tractor normally when I had it bypassed. Unfortunately it is Sunday so I have to wait until tomorrow to call the dealer. I tried to fine the switch online with no luck. I cannot find anything that looks like a part number even with a magnifying glass, other that a stamped in 1ll. Is this a Kubota Dealer part only?
