Oh boy. As a long time auto tech im fairly sure i could figure that out if it was in front of me but over the internet... without a crapload of pics all i can say is you NEED to find the manual for that one!! Did you take any pictures as you were taking it apart?
I found this pic in another thread but it doesn't seem detailed enough to show which shift rail goes where, if they are different. It definitely shows which fork goes where..

Here’s pics from when I had mine apart. Forks positions and in neutral. Be sure your detent balls and springs are in place when putting the cover back on.
Mine got locked in between gears twice, both times when I was a little too quick between forward and reverse. I learned to take my time.
First time it took me I don’t know how long to get it lined up. Second time about ten minutes or less. What worked for me is to line up the levers including pto shifter to neutral (all three/two lined up) and make the gears align with the levers not the levers with the gears.
