NEED ENGINE for Kubota L245DT

Hi! Looking for a good used engine for an L245DT (DH1101) or compatible engine (D1101, D1301, D1302, D1402 etc). Will the D1302-DI engine from an L2250 fit? I’d love to convert it to a direct injection model. Trying to stay below $1500 and rebuilding isn’t an option as a rod went through the side of the block. Thanks!

Ain't much if any pressure on the block down there, so it could be patched/repaired. I've done a few riders in the past and lots of farmers have botched their tractors. Depends on actual damage ,picture would help.
Normally you drill holes at ends of cracks, clean real well, fill the hole, And... buy con rod, bearings, gaskets, etc. to fix the other busted parts. Though 40+ year old .may be $$ to find parts ??
I seriously doubt you'll find any good engine to replace yours for $1500.

BTW 'rebuild' kits are $500-800...

I've spent some time looking over this lot.
The engine is completely torn down to the bare block, all contained in that crate.
I did not look the engine parts over very carefully.
Splines on front axle drive pinion are in great shape (not torn up).
Looks like the tractor is just missing the front frame.
This lot was a No Sale at October's sale - no bidders.
I would bet you could buy it for $200, or less.

PM me if you want me to bid on your order at the sale, I expect to be there.
If you want to bid online, I can pick up the lot and store it for you (outside, covered).
I live about 30 miles from the place...
