Why did Kubota make the sleeves in 0.1mm increments?
Or, in other words, what variation were the engineers attempting to compensate for?
And, what is the long term impact of ignoring that variation?
Time will tell, I guess.
Granted, if you're only going to put 20 hours a year on a tractor, it is likely to outlive you, regardless of whether the engineering requirements are fully addressed.
I guess I'm conditioned by the fact that all my vehicles are at least 25 years old, and my daily driver is 47 years old. I tend to make every effort to avoid 'using them up'.
