I recently purchased a B7800 and would like to add a rear remote so I can install a hydraulic top link for box blade work. What is involved in doing this? Kubota parts or aftermarket? Thanks in advance.

You will probably have to get after market
See Fit Rite Hydraulics or Summit Hydraulics

You have to figure out how to tie into the tractor’s hydraulic system. This thread explains how it is done on a similar tractor so may help you locate the correct point for attaching the hydraulics.

I'll look it up, but it will probably be much easier and cheaper to tap off of the loader valve to run the rear remotes.

Yes it has a L402
I dont believe Kubota offered anything.

You can easily add an inexpensive aftermarket valve.

Hardest part is deciding where you want to place it. Then its just a matter of hooking it into the loader power beyond circuit (3 hoses) and running two more to the rear for your outlets.

Here is one added next to the loader vslve.

The B7800 is the same tractor as my B2910.

Here is an ANCIENT thread about my adding rear remotes to the B2910.

I added four, so more than you want, but the details are the same if you want to bother reading the thread.

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/that-never-ending-t-t-path.44732/

Edit: I wonder if there is a term better than ancient? Almost 20 years ago...but the specifics on the tractors are the same...LOL

2nd edit: if you are going to do it yourself, why not add at least two remotes. Price and effort is not that much different in the long run.

3rd Edit: Post 78 in that thread shows the adapter block that was offered at the time if you wanted to add remotes. Probably the rest is less specific to your needs. Just trying to help and not overwhelm you with unrelated BS regarding your question...

For that tractor and loader its an inexpensive piece of cake. This bracket is designed to fit the current Standard L with LA52x loader but modifying it to work on an LA402 should be just about trivial.

Great option, but it looks like the owner of the web site has health issues and is not accepting orders....

I must have got the wrong impression from the text in red. I figured you posted a link and was unaware of the owner’s situation…

No you got the right impression. That was put up when I first got out of the hospital and I thought my demise was imminent. I need to edit that back a bit. I am not taking on anything mahor but will consider amall jobs like the remotes that are easy to assemble.
