Lubrizol did an in-house analysis of half a dozen house brand oils and that was one of them. Harvest King came out with the highest marks in most of the tests. It is an excellent well formulated UTTO but not in a class with SUDT.

For perspective Lubrizol does not make oil - they develop and make the additive packages that the blenders use to formulate their products. The purpose of the test was to try snd identify which generic oils used the best additive technologies and in particular how the "yellow bucket" oils matched up. The results were supposed to be company confidential but they escaped to the wild.....

All can say is my 1840 Case Skidsteer required a special additive for 20 years and all of a sudden this year the additive is no longer made by Case and 10w30 diesel oil alone is all they recommend. Seems like a lit of BS. I know you spent 15k and not worth taking a chance, I spent 3k and will take my chances with a substitute at a lower price. Hope your new tractor makes it 33 years.

love the term 'pumpability'......

doesn't specifically say 'good for hydrostatic ' aka HST.

I do know Deere specified SAE30 for a series or riders that their modified version of Tufftork HSTs in them. They failed........ TT said used a synthetic 10w40, deere went cheap.... $800 for new HST,+ labour so lotta scrap green riders.

When people opine about a specific lubricant I like to provide as much hard data as I can.
Here is what I KNOW about a couple generic UTTOs sold at your local box stores. The data are revealing. I have even more data for the OP's Harvest King product which I omitted for brevity's sake. Its even more revealing and all good.
