I really wish the PTO lever was not right against the seat, in some models. My large hips are constantly moving the lever toward engage!

I feel your pain. My PTO is far from the seat BUT, the 3pt is right at hip level. Several times I have heard the hydraulics screaming for no reason and then realize that my big butt is forcing the lever to the stops.

My pants have a hammer loop on the left leg. And my shift lever is on the left. L M H, once or twice I've been bush hogging in my field on a steep slop headed down hill. Shifted my body slightly to stay in my seat and the hammer loop had gone over the shift lever pulling it into neutral and free wheeling down the hill in a split second.
That wakes you up Quick believe me.
So now when i mow I always know where that stupid loop is. Not over the lever..

Yeah I have to remove my wallet as well,, I have ridden bikes for so many years my wallet is chained to me. Yeah losing one at 80mph will mess up your day trying to find stuff! But the chain get hung up when I get on and off the BX, can be very embarrassing standing on your toes trying to unhook your wallet. Yep it is a rather poor location in MHO to locate it, perhaps it should have been located on the off side where you dont get off and on

On one of my tractors I recall bending the 3PH lever to avoid problems. Can you do something like that? Or maybe shorten it?

For me its the 3PH lever positioned almost under the seat so I'm constantly grabbing the tranny Hi-Med-Lo shifter right beside it in the natural ergonomic location.

The shift levers are short and stubby to fit under my swivel seat.

I like that style of jeans also, but I don't need the hammer loop so if it gets snagged on something I cut it off. I use the small pockets on the right side all the time!

First thing I do with a new pair of Carhartts is cut the hammer loop off. In the past I’ve caught it on too many things that have caused problems, and not once have I ever had a hammer in one so off they come.
