I have a bx23s and purchased new in 2021. I am moving a load of gravel, but can not lift front bucket when it is full of gravel. What is lifting limit of stock bx23s with la340 fel? Should it fully lift a full bucket of gravel?
Don’t forget the weight of the bucket.it should lift it...your bucket holds 5-6 cubic ft... dry crushed stone is about 100lbs per cubic ft... your loader is rated at about 750lbs...are you raising the throttle enough?
You can get a pressure guage and check how much hydraulic pressure you have ... sometimes from the factory they dont have as much hydraulic pressure as they should. You can get shims from a kubota dealer and raise your hydraulic pressure a little if needed.I have a bx23s and purchased new in 2021. The little Kubota is OK,...... but the driver looks better!top one, except I got rid of the ROPS and BH has never been off
wonder how long it took them to stage that gardening scene ??
I usually operate with about 3000 rpmit should lift it...your bucket holds 5-6 cubic ft... dry crushed stone is about 100lbs per cubic ft... your loader is rated at about 750lbs...are you raising the throttle enough?
Thanks. Full bucket. Still happy with bx23s. Guess it just take me a little longer to move the 2 truckloads of gravel. Those limits are at your FEL pin not sticking out the front or with a full bucket of gravel. Also full bucket and heaping bucket are two different things. Easy fix is to take a bit less of a bucket. 6cubic feet plus bucket weight is gonna put you real close to the limits of your bx or should I say did put you. Another thing to consider is the type of stone your working with plus is it dry/wet. To me this sounds more like you found the max and less like something is wrong with your bx.
Don’t forget the weight of the bucket.
Thanks. Usually operate at approximately 3000 rpm. Gravel, stone and sand mix would be best described as dampRPM needs to be 2500+ and there's a big difference in wet pea gravel vs dry 3/4 clear....
BH on back, back tires didn't lift. Could curl bucket but not lift.. Spilled some out to 3/4 full and lifted to move gravelHigh RPM’s and a ballast box on the back maxed out on weight. Should lift with no problem. Let me guess, your back tires came off the ground trying to lift a full buck.
Yes BH is on. I thought it had a bit more lifting power.hmm, I assumed the BH was on his BX23S....... as I can lift full buckets of gravel all day long
Thanks. Will do this. Dealer is a 2 hour drive away, so I need to plan a day for shopping trip. You can get a pressure guage and check how much hydraulic pressure you have ... sometimes from the factory they dont have as much hydraulic pressure as they should. I've never had that problem with any of the BX tractors I've had even the old 2005 BX23D I have will easily lift a full bucket of anything without any problem. Below lifting a heavy log with clamp on forks.BH on back, back tires didn't lift. Could curl bucket but not lift.. Spilled some out to 3/4 full and lifted to move gravel
