I've gotten a lot of feedback from others about my addition as unnecessary. That may be true. The good thing is it cost me nothing to put on there, so I'm out nothing having it.Interesting. Mine have never yet made any move toward accidental release, rather the opposite - they sometimes self-close when I'm going between implements, making the new implement not seat correctly.
An ounce of prevention hurts nothing. It isn't necessary until the day that one side comes loose and the damage is done. Then you will wish that you had one. I have a small first aid kit on my BX, and I hope that I will never need it, but it is there should the need arise. Just like a fire extinguisher, you might never have a need for it, but you will surely appreciate it if the tractor develops flames.
Probably wasn’t someone that’s run a grapple that said that.I've gotten a lot of feedback from others about my addition as unnecessary. That may be true. The good thing is it cost me nothing to put on there, so I'm out nothing having it.
I haven't, yet. Likely never will have a real need. Forks, they're on my list of need, as well as a clamshell bucket. The buckets mouth will have teeth on both sides for more bite.Probably wasn’t someone that’s run a grapple that said that.
I did several projects after the tractor arrived. I ripped and de-rooted six Thuja trees out, landscaping, hauled in 5.5 tons of stone for rock flower beds, moved several buckets of two-man rock, lifted four 12ft upright telephone poles, cleaned up and move things around the place, moved and leveled rock in the parking, and etc. Had I not had the tractor, those things wouldn't have happened. This years projects are completed.Working the tractor and doing projects is what's supposed to keep you sane and smiling! Any pics of tractor projects, tractor work? Thats the tractor porn we like to see. Those of us that have been on here a while have seen these mods sooooo many times! Getting to the point where I roll my eyes and say....not again! Everytime I see folks join OTT and all they do is mod their tractor just reminds me of this picture! View attachment 113788
Oooh! Me likey. If one wants a safety without a welder, here's an example. Drill two holes and a bungee cord.
Looks good for manual locking........but my locks operate hydraulically.
That's a neat feature for sure. Too elaborate for my need!Looks good for manual locking........but my locks operate hydraulically.
