Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm awaiting delivery of my L6060, hopefully next week! And I needed to ask a fairly basic question:

I understand the L6060 has a category 1/2 compatible hitch with the use of some bushings. Is there a qucik hitch style hitch made for this tractor, that can use both Cat 1 and Cat 2 implements? Most of my use out of this tractor will be utilizing a 6ft Land Plane, and a tiller, both of which are Cat 1 implements. I've been also looking at an offset flail mower, and some of these utilize a Cat 2 mounting system.

Seems like the Cat 2 specific quick hitches are too wide to connect to Cat 1 implements.

I was hoping for a Goldilocks type quick hitch that could run Cat 2 implements without a bushing, then still utilize Cat 1 implements with a bushing, but I'm not sure that exists?

Congrats on the L! whatever considering regarding QH, figure that out before setting PTO shaft length on implements. I’d search some of the older threads and watch some videos. Here is one that has some good points for multiple different types of QHs…

my impression is that most 'quick hitches' have CAT3 lower connections, and you need 'adapters' to get CAT 1 and CAT2 implements to connect. Sadly you need to see the drawings with dimensions to compare to 'CAT1' or 'CAT2' numbers. There's also a lot of 'upset' over the 'top link' hooks NOT being 'universal'.

I know 3PH can be a 'pain' so I converted tiller and cults to Snap-Coupler

Thank you all for the replies. I agree that it looks like most of those quick hitches use Cat 3 sized openings and bushings to take up the space. Bushings from Cat 1-Cat 3 and/or Cat 2-Cat 3 seem to be available. After watching a video from Good Works Tractors on YouTube, it looks like the size of the links can be overcome with bushings, it's the width between them. It looks like Cat 2 implements are usually wider, with wider mounting points. When using a quick hitch, it looks like you're essentially locking in one width for the lower link arms. The Cat 2 quick hitch is 5" wider than the Cat 1. Unless they make bushings that are longer as well I don't think you can use Cat 1 implements on a Cat 2 quick hitch.

I know ya can get Cat 1 & 2 drawbars at Tractor Supply & like places . Maybe ya can somehow mount the unit to a wider drawbar ?

I have a QH10 and a QH15. The QH10 on the implement side is CAT3 upper and CAT1 lower. The QH15 on the implement side is CAT3 upper and lower. The width of both the QH10 and QH15 is 27" on the inside to 29-1/2" on the outside. Both of my tractors have CAT2 connections on the 3-point lift arms and top link so I have to use CAT2 to CAT1 bushings to connect either QH which are both CAT1 on the tractor side. It's a headache for sure.

Off the top of my head, the only implement I have which offers easy adjustment in terms of how it connects to a QH is the Landpride RCR1884 rotary cutter. It has a CAT1/CAT2 combination pin that can be moved in or out. If I use the QH10 I don't need bushings, but if I use the QH15 I need a CAT2 to CAT3 bushing.

The photo below is for reference only. It shows the CAT2 pin in the CAT3 QH15 location so bushings would be needed.

Sort of…I have a cat 2 QH on the MX, and with it I use a tiller that is cat 1 or 2 (has a bracket that slides on cross bar of tiller and you can change the width), as well as a EA cat 1 garden bedder and a cat 1 potato plow (plus some ther cat 2 implements… felt at purchase time cat 2 QH was least bad option but I did not know about pats or euro attach…I joined the forum late in life I guess). However to use with the QH, the bedder I added a longer stepped pin and it will doc to the QH20 and on the plow I ended up doing a costly mod so it would doc to the QH. I think most cat 1 implements you can handle with a bushing / longer pin but if you have something on the narrow side there is not a solution with the QH as is it fixed. I think for the few implements you listed there are choices for cat 1/2 and you probably ok then with cat 2. I would suggest if you are considering a flail or something else be sure of the width before you decide. I think the cat standard is sort of liberally used and it’s more to the pin size in some cases then the width height pitch unless the implement description specifically says what it will fit QH wise.

That being said I would not buy another QH. I have a pats on my B and love it…however I have seen where others have had some trouble with larger tractors and pats so maybe check with them and decide it’s legitimate or not. I’ve been happy with my pats on the B and would likely do that again. But better yet I think is maybe the eurotach. That looks pretty slick to me. Or the snap attach looks good, but I am not sure what expense that adds

One way or another either spend money for the cat1/2 attach which LP offers in your mentioned items, or multiple QHs, or swap pins, modify the oddball implement or find the unicorn you are looking for…or embrace one or more aspects of the suck. No matter what it’s better than not having the NEW L6060! That’s an awesome machine. 🥃

Congratulations on the new machine. That’s a nice one. Did you go open station or cab?

I suspect this isn’t your first tractor going in with an L6060.

Post some pictures when it comes in. We love the look of the new Orange.
