My 3430 for only 35hp is really built like tank, especially in the rear area. I was just wondering if Kubota uses my chassis in others with only different engines, and if true what would they be?

Grand L 30 series is very nice unit compared to the new offerings.
I would think the quality and durability of the drivetrain parts is the same and would be shared with current models.
And your tractor has no DPF emissions stuff.
Are you unhappy with your tractor,or just need something else?
Good Luck!

I’m pretty sure the L3130 and L3430 are the same chassis, other that the engine displacement. The L3830 has a chassis of its own and the L4330 and 4630 share a chassis and the L5030 has its own. At least so I think so. Check out the dimensions of each, specifically the wheelbase.

Here’s a link to the glossy. Check out the last several pages.

The Grand L 40 series is a damn nice tractor too, if you’re thinking of moving up. About the same money for either, obviously used.

According to TractorData, good chance the 3130 and 3830 are the same. Maybe 4330 and 4630 as well. There was also a 5030.
I doubt the L3830 has the same chassis. See above, I might have spent way too much time researching this stuff when I bought mine in ‘07. But hell I could be wrong. That’s said, all the 30s are similar. The glossy contains a few specs Tractor Data does not.

Yes, you have far more data than I have, I have just a glance. :) Even those with a larger chassis kind of share the design though I presume.

Oh yea, all the 30s are similar (but not the same). Just the chassis size and engine displacement/output incrementally increase though the series.

Wish I’d gotten at least the L4630 (for a few more PTO ponies). In hind sight, the price difference was de minimus, about $5k, or less than 20% more, back when $5k was real money.

Thanks for the response. I purchased it after finally stopping after driving by it a couple dozen times, and after about a month of haggling drove it the 4 miles home. No, I'm very happy with it and so far after about 5 years and roughly about 400 additional hours I put on it, so far, only thing I've replaced is the AC belt. Excellent machine! Does what it's designed to do.

I'd love one. Wouldn't fit in my shed, too big to mow the lawns, have no use for it. But I'd love one anyway.

Realistically if I had a second Kubota it'd be an F series.
